Rachel George Honored as Employee of the Year at VSI Community Awards

On Thursday, Oct. 19, Rachel George of Excelsior Springs received the prestigious “Employee of the Year” award at the Vocational Services, Inc. (VSI) Community Awards Night, marking her significant contributions to supporting those with disabilities.

The gala evening, held at the VSI administration building, witnessed nearly 100 attendees from different walks of life, all gathered to honor individuals who have demonstrated commendable efforts in backing the differently-abled. George stood out among the 14 recognized from Missouri, solidifying her dedication to the cause.

Presenting the honor to George were General Manager Chris Best and Executive Director Kimbal Mothershead.

VSI, a renowned organization in the region, has long been at the forefront of providing employment and other essential opportunities for Clay and Platte County residents with disabilities. The annual awards night is just one of the many initiatives taken by VSI to recognize and uplift those who work tirelessly behind the scenes.
