Excelsior Springs, Mo. (March, 14 2025) – Excelsior Springs police are investigating the deaths of two men found inside a home on Woods Avenue Wednesday night.

According to a statement from the Excelsior Springs Police Department, officers were dispatched at 8:39 p.m. on March 12 after receiving a 911 call from a concerned family member requesting a welfare check at a residence in the 200 block of Woods Avenue.

Upon arrival, officers found the home secured. After the family member urged law enforcement to enter the home, officers forced entry and discovered two adult males deceased from apparent unnatural causes. The individuals were later identified as 33-year-old Dare M. Kinney and 31-year-old Chad D. Wooten.
