EXCELSIOR SPRINGS, Mo. — Excelsior Springs was filled with festive fun this past weekend as families turned out in full costume for two Halloween celebrations, the Downtown Merchants Trick-or-Treat and the Excelsior Springs Community Center’s Fall Festival.
The downtown streets came alive Friday afternoon as local merchants handed out candy to hundreds of children dressed as everything from adorable animals to spooky creatures of the night. The annual downtown tradition continues to be one of the community’s favorite family events, drawing visitors to local shops and restaurants while spreading plenty of Halloween spirit.
The fun continued on Saturday as the Excelsior Springs Community Center hosted its reimagined Fall Festival, featuring shorter lines, games, food trucks, vendors, live music, and a touch-a-truck area for kids to explore. Despite the chilly weather, crowds came out to enjoy the updated event, which organizers hope to make an annual tradition celebrating the season and community togetherness.
