Citizen Pet of the Week: Marley

Excelsior Springs, Mo. (January 19, 2025)

Welcome to another edition of Pet of the Week! This week, meet Marley, an eight-year-old Goldendoodle owned by the Jackson family.

Marley has been with Patricia Jackson and her family since she was around ten to twelve weeks old. The Jacksons also have a three-year-old dog named Aspen, Marley’s best friend. Patricia says Aspen “helps keep Marley active and young.”

Some of the family’s favorite things about Marley are how “she loves everyone, and although she weighs about 75lbs, she has no idea she’s NOT a lap dog. She loves to go bye-bye and to the puppy spa.”

Patricia also shared with the Citizen that “if you don’t find her lounging in her favorite spot on the couch, you can find her on the floor on her back cheesin’.”

Marley is never short on people to give her love and attention. She shares her home with seven humans in addition to her canine sibling, Aspen and a cat sister, Lola, too!

A big thank you to Patricia and the Jackson family for sharing Marley with us! Stay tuned next week to meet another furry citizen!
