Posts that got you talking:

Many people feel that Excelsior Springs would greatly benefit from a sports facility, with several suggesting it could provide a much-needed venue for various sports like soccer, baseball, softball, basketball, and volleyball. There’s a strong belief that a sports complex would bring economic benefits, with potential for weekend tournaments, increased revenue for local businesses, and facilities for youth development. Some have suggested using existing spaces like the airport or adding amenities like indoor batting cages and multi-sport areas. While some are skeptical of the need, the majority agree that such a facility would improve local access to sports and prevent families from having to travel long distances for practices and games. Many feel it would also be a strong business opportunity for private investors or the city.

These goats almost broke the local Internet with their cuteness, having been reported multiple times and in multiple areas. There was a lot of discussion regarding them, but mainly jokes about them being out and even bringing our beloved potholes into the mix!

Chris Jones comment was the funniest, saying, “They’re looking for the North Pole. They are wanting to apply for the job. I hear the reindeer are wanting a bigger contract and Santa Inc. is holding back bonuses from last year, claiming sleigh insurance has gone up and the cost of elf’s work comp. Just the slip/ fall claims have skyrocketed, because the elf’s new spikes shoes where on that container ship that hit the bridge and now the container is lost in the shipping yard somewhere in Montana. All I can say, it’s going to be a mess if they can’t come to an agreement soon.”

Within almost an hour of one another there were two wrecks on 69 Highway on Tuesday evening.

The owner of a truck that was being worked on at Chuck Anderson Ford is now reporting that their duck blind has been stolen from their vehicle. There is video footage of the thief that has been posted online.
