Price Leads Lady Tigers to Conference Win Over Griffins

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS, Mo., Oct. 13, 2025 — The Lady Tiger volleyball team picked up one win in six matches last week. A trip to Winnetonka on Oct. 9 brought the lone win for the Lady Tigers in a 3-1 victory over the Griffins.

A 25-15 win opened the match before the Griffins took the second set by a score of 25-19. The Lady Tigers bounced back with 25-14 and 25-15 wins to go home with a Suburban Blue Conference victory. Senior Jordin Price had 21 kills on the night, with senior Lillah Shue adding 11 kills and junior Camden McDaniels adding seven. Shue had 28 assists on the night, with junior Raelyn Kirtley contributing 16 assists.

The St. Pius X Warriors defeated the Lady Tigers in four sets on Oct. 6. The Warriors won the first set 25-17 before the Lady Tigers took the second set by a score of 25-19. St. Pius X finished off the night with 25-10 and 25-18 set wins to take the match. A trip to Kearney on Oct. 7 ended in three sets, with the Bulldogs winning 25-11, 25-17, and 25-6 to complete the season sweep over the Lady Tigers.

The Lady Tigers traveled to St. Joseph on Saturday to take part in the Benton Tournament, where they went 0-2-1. They opened the morning with a two-set loss to Bishop LeBlond, falling 25-18 and 25-22. A matchup with the host Benton Cardinals ended in a 1-1 tie, with the Lady Tigers taking the first set 25-22 before dropping the second set 25-10. The day finished with a two-set loss to Pembroke Hill, 25-19 and 25-19.
