Excelsior Springs, Mo. — The Lady Tiger wrestlers capped off the 2025 portion of their schedule with a third-place finish at the Drew Emerson Invitational on December 23 in Lexington.
They brought eight wrestlers to the tournament, with all eight placing in the top four and three earning individual tournament championships.
Sophomore Bristol Sharp went 2–0 on the day to claim the 100-pound championship. She opened the tournament with a 34-second win by fall over Natalie Viscano Macias of Kansas City East, then followed with another fall at the 1:05 mark of the second period against Zoey Clevenger of Polo.
Senior Nevaeh Happy posted a 3–0 record to win the 110-pound title. She began the day with a fall at the 1:41 mark against Isabella McCorkendale of Lone Jack. Her second match advanced into the second period, where she secured a fall over Elizabeth Rodekohr of Lexington 28 seconds in. In the championship match, Happy went the distance against Holly Meredith of Richmond, earning a 7–4 decision to claim the bracket title.
Sophomore Lilly Goetz dominated the 120-pound weight class, finishing 4–0. She opened with a 23-second fall over Iryona Crockett of Ewing Marion Kauffman High School, then defeated Ava Rasmussen of Macon by fall in 26 seconds. Goetz followed with another fall 34 seconds into her next match against Emily Phillips of Lone Jack. In the championship match, she went the distance with Amanda Rodekohr of Lexington, winning by major decision, 12–0, to complete her tournament championship.
Junior Analese Happy finished the day with a 1–1 record, earning second place in the three-person 105-pound pool. She opened with a 20–3 technical fall over Serenity Meyer of Polo before falling 10–3 to Kathryn Jack of Lone Jack.
Senior Lillah Shue placed second at 115 pounds. She won her first two matches by fall, defeating Addison Peppers of Lexington and Isabella Jenkins of Richmond to advance to the championship match. Shue fell to Lillian McCleary of Lone Jack in the finals to secure second place.
Sophomore Kylee Jesse dropped her first match of the day but rebounded with wins in her next three matches to finish third in the 125-pound bracket. Freshman Lili Gustin placed fourth at 145 pounds after going 2–3 on the day, while freshman Makynlei Craig finished fourth at 155 pounds with a 2–3 record.
Lexington claimed the team championship with 176.5 points. Lone Jack finished second with 107.5 points, while the Lady Tigers earned third place with 102 points.
