
EXCELSIOR SPRINGS, Mo., Oct. 2, 2025 — The Lady Tiger volleyball team split a pair of Suburban Blue Conference matches last week.
They hosted the Raytown South Cardinals on Sept. 30 and came away with a three-sets-to-zero win. The first set of the night went down to the wire, with the Lady Tigers coming away with a 25-23 win. The second set was dominated by the Lady Tigers with a 25-7 win, followed by a 25-15 final set win to finish the match.
Senior Jordin Price led the offensive attack with 15 kills on the night. Junior Lara Hutton added six kills, and junior Bayli Crowley helped out with five kills. The offense was set up by junior Lillah Shue’s team-high 29 assists. Price and junior Kendalyn Jones led the defensive side of the net with 10 digs each. Shue and senior Maya Watkins had five digs each for the Lady Tigers.
The Smithville Warriors came to town on Oct. 2 and left with a 3-0 win over the Lady Tigers. The Warrior attack was dominant all night with 39 total kills in the 25-8, 25-13 and 25-15 wins. Price led the offense for the Lady Tigers again with six kills, to go along with Shue adding three kills and Hutton adding one. Watkins had 12 digs for the Lady Tigers, with Jones adding seven and Price helping out with six digs.
The 1-1 week for the Lady Tigers put their record at 6-12-1 for the season, with five matches and the Benton Tournament left in the season before Class 3 District play begins on Oct. 21.
