
EXCELSIOR SPRINGS, Mo., Sept. 25, 2025 — The Lady Tigers split a pair of Suburban Blue Conference games last week by defeating the Grandview Bulldogs and losing to the Smithville Warriors.
An offensive explosion set the tone in the win over the Bulldogs with the Lady Tigers scoring 23 runs on 14 hits in a 23-0 win on Monday, Sept. 22. Eleven different players collected hits, including three players with two hits. Sophomores Haylee Ray and Reese Ryan each drove a ball over the fence for home runs. Both connected in the second inning with Ryan hitting a two-run shot and Ray hitting a grand slam. Ray finished the night with six RBIs to go along with her two hits. Freshman Haleigh Reeves picked up the win in the circle in her first varsity start. She pitched three innings, giving up one hit while striking out two.
Smithville scored in four of five innings on its way to a 17-5 mercy-rule win over the Lady Tigers on Thursday, Sept. 25. A four-run first inning set the tone for the Warriors, followed by three runs in the second, seven in the third, and three in the fourth.
The Lady Tigers showed life in the fourth inning with four runs, including senior Josie Casler hitting her fifth home run of the season and Ryan hitting her third. Senior Kayden Rogers took the loss in the circle, going 2.2 innings and allowing 12 runs, nine earned, on 11 hits.
The 1-1 week pushed the Lady Tiger record to 11-6 on the season, with six games on the schedule this week.
