Excelsior Springs’ Youth Tigers wrestling team finished their state tournament on March 28th with an impressive showing, earning 13 overall medalists and a 3rd-place team finish by the girls. The tournament showcased the team’s hard work and dedication, resulting in some outstanding individual performances.
In the girls’ division, Karli Grass, Kennedy Grass, and Lilly Smith each took home the state championship in their respective weight classes. Brooklyn Ross and Avrie Goetz secured second-place finishes, while Lilly Goetz earned third place. Maylee Moran, Kyndal Vick, Farrah Lange, and Josie Lange all placed sixth in their weight classes.
In the open division, Mac Gear and Braxxton Vosika each placed fourth and sixth, respectively, while Lilly Smith secured a sixth-place finish.
The team expressed their gratitude to all the coaches, parents, and volunteers who came together to make this accomplishment possible. Congratulations to the Excelsior Springs Youth Wrestlers on their successful state tournament run!
