Excelsior Springs Neighborhoods Announces Curb Appeal Award Nominations
Thrive Excelsior is taking nominations for the December Curb Appeal Award. They’re looking for homes with lots of holiday-themed curb appeal. Nominations from any neighborhood in Excelsior Springs can be made online by clicking here. This month’s contest is sponsored by Family Wealthcare Center.
Free Women’s Self Defense Class at Excelsior Springs Community Center
The Excelsior Springs Community Center is offering free self defense class for women ages 16+ on Thursday, December 15th at 6:00pm. Registration is available for both members and non-members but registration is required.
Communities of Excellence Fall Conference
Thrive Excelsior has announced that the City of Excelsior Springs was one of 15 communities in the nation to be recognized for their commitment to improving community outcomes last month at the Communities of Excellence Fall Conference. Read more about this achievement.
Book Tour Coming to Excelsior Springs Community Center
You will have a chance to Meet the Author Kim Malaj on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 from 9am-1pm at the Excelsior Springs Community Center. Malaj has multiple works, including “Who is Maggie” that takes place in Excelsior Springs. More info.

ESHS Tiger Football announced their All-Conference Selections to be on the following teams in the Greater Kansas City Suburban Conference Blue Division:

Excelsior Springs Chamber of Commerce Holds Westside Holiday Window Decorating Contest
Excelsior Springs Scream in Top ABA Power Rankings
The Excelsior Springs Scream inched a little closer to Excelsior this week by playing at Kearney’s Middle School. They won their tournament against the Indiana Lyons, 110 to 80. Earlier in the week the team announced that they were ranked 9 in the top 10 of the ABA League!

• 20 Senior Citizens living at Aspire Nursing Home (recently named Excelsior Springs Nursing and Rehab) were adopted when the administrator used the Excelsior Citizen group to find adoptees. Thanks to all for your generosity in taking care of our seniors this holiday season!
