EXCELSIOR SPRINGS, Mo. (November 13, 2025) — The Excelsior Springs Police Department is investigating a fatal hit-and-run after a woman was found deceased along Fredericksburg Road on Wednesday evening.

Police said a 911 caller reported seeing a body in the roadway in the 1000 block of Fredericksburg Road at approximately 5:59 p.m. Officers arrived within minutes and located a deceased woman on the shoulder. The victim has been identified as 35-year-old Mary Levingston of Kansas City, Missouri.

According to Police Chief Gregory Dull, preliminary findings indicate that Levingston died from blunt force trauma to the head, injuries consistent with being struck by a vehicle.
