EXCELSIOR SPRINGS, MO – Excelsior Springs High School senior Mason Wartner signed his letter of intent earlier this week to play soccer for the Park University Pirates in Parkville, Missouri.

Wartner, who will be studying business at Park, leaves behind a decorated career in Excelsior Springs. A key player for the Tigers who have gone to the State Championships the past three years finishing 3rd, 3rd, and 4th, Wartner was instrumental in their success.

“Mason undoubtedly has one of the best resumes ever for a player that has come through our program,” said Excelsior Springs soccer coach Zac Ganzer. “His growth and leadership will be missed, but I am confident in the way he leads others that they are ready to take the baton.”

Wartner's Tiger teammates were there to show their support at his signing.
