News:
The week started with a terrible home fire in rural Clay County, leaving ESFD to assist along with other area departments. Good news was shared that two students from the Job Corps have been selected to work for Disney. Last week, Laura’s Pizza Buffet announced their ownership change to the new Glorimar’s Pizza! Be sure to stop by and welcome them!










School News:
The ESHS Tigers have had a stellar week, 5 wrestlers placing at a two-day Platte County tournament, Student Council raised money for Special Olympics, Speech and Debate took first at the Warrensburg sweepstakes (along with 18 earning medals!), the Math Team won 1st Place in the big school division at Smith-Cotton, AND Tigerettes won 1st and 3rd at the Lees Summit North Invitational! Congratulations, Tigers! You win Best Week Ever!

Fun Finds:
There were some really fun things shared this week that shouldn’t be passed by! We were out and about at The Springs Restaurant and were lucky enough to see Arlo Hartman celebrating his 94th birthday with friends and family. Thanks to everyone for sharing in the birthday greetings!
Then Ashley Smith shared tracks that they found in the snow recently! In the comments several noted that as the snow melts, the tracks would look bigger. Still fun!
We had a nice feature from the folks at Kansas City Hiker, who shared about their trip to Tryst Falls.
