Some used sarcasm to make their points, degrading the event as being hypocritical. This led to the Community Center editing their response, explaining the purpose and intent of the program.
The Community Action Agency will be the group conducting the simulation, an educational experience that is used throughout the metropolitan area to bring awareness to those living in poverty. The Excelsior Citizen published information regarding this event on December 9, 2024. Register here.

After it freezes over there will be spots along the stream’s edge where the unfrozen spring flows in. Melted spots along the way. You can see several from the Elms bridge looking south.”
Andy Shipman followed saying, “This is Williams Creek, it also runs through my 20 acres. This year, for the first time, we were completely dry all summer and fall.
We had beaver dam issues really bad last year and two years ago. I’m wondering if they didn’t build something more successful further upstream.”
