Excelsior Springs gears up to host its signature 5K event, the Tortoise and the Hare Walk, Roll, and Run, on Saturday, April 13, 2024.
Event Schedule
Early birds can start the day with late registration and packet pick-up at 7:00 a.m. The main event, the 5K Run and Walk, kicks off at 8:00 a.m. sharp. For our younger enthusiasts, the Kids Hot Chocolate Fun Run is open to ages 10 and under, with registration closing at 8:30 a.m. and the race starting at 9:00 a.m.
Location and Course
Participants will convene on Broadway in front of the iconic Hall of Waters. The newly designed out-and-back course promises breathtaking views and challenges for both runners and walkers. Runners will enjoy a scenic loop including a brisk uphill challenge, while walkers can enjoy a leisurely stroll through picturesque streets, both routes highlighting the historic Superior Well and the beauty of Fishing River Linear Park.
