Siblings Debut Artisan Bakery, Excelsior Boulangerie

Excelsior Springs, MO — A new artisan bakery, Excelsior Boulangerie (a bakery specializing in bread and especially French-style bread), quietly opened its doors at 500 St. Louis Avenue earlier this week. The bakery, a collaboration between 20-something siblings, two sisters, and a brother, began serving the community this week with a variety of handmade items, including brownies, muffins, cookies, and fresh-baked bread.

The youngest sister, currently studying to be a pastry chef at an area culinary school, brings her developing expertise to the bakery’s offerings. The young entrepreneurs at Excelsior Boulangerie pride themselves on creating their products completely from scratch, using only fresh ingredients, ensuring a fresh and delicious experience for customers.

Starting slowly, with a limited menu, they say they plan to expand their offerings to provide more delectable treats and even gluten-free options.

Informal reviews have already surfaced in the Excelsior Citizen Facebook group, with customers praising the quality and taste of the baked goods.

Operating hours for the bakery are from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., seven days a week.
