With Halloween falling on a Monday this year, Excelsior Springs has used it to stretch celebrations of trunk or treats and fall festivals throughout the community. Churches, businesses, and organizations have all been working hard to decorate and have spent a pretty penny on treats to simply bring a smile to child’s faces. The Excelsior Springs Community Center held their annual Fall Festival, including a bounce house, cotton candy treats, and tons of community trunks. Hundreds of families turned out in the near perfect weather to wind along in line while collecting candy.

I wish excelsior springs chamber or whom ever is responsible for PR in the community to include other places like wild bunch and several other places in events like the trunk and treat etc… it seems like places like fishing river building , bliss and all the other places aren’t included in activities in excelsior unless you are on that main drag which I believe is broadway – would like to see the whole community invited to join in vs only the select few .
Hello, Vicki! Thanks for commenting. Fishing River Market is now closed, so there’s nothing to promote. We included Wild Bunch’s event in our Fall Festival Lineup story: https://bit.ly/3MBtIIA We also included them in a post we put up today. The Chamber promotes those who are Chamber members and the downtown businesses have an organization dedicated solely to promoting their events through DEP.
