Santa may be busy this time of year but he made several stops in Excelsior Springs over the past week. On Wednesday Santa and Mrs. Claus visited the Elms Hotel where a line of visitors stretched from the lobby into the ballroom. The event sponsored by Downtown Excelsior Partnership (DEP) also had the Excelsior Springs Chamber Trolleys available to provide rides for families. Many visitors stopped by the cafe for hot chocolate or coffee to make the evening bright.
On Friday evening Santa stopped by to see his friends at Excelsior Springs RE/MAX Area Real Estate. Santa was especially jovial telling jokes and laughing heartily. One young man said he’d like to have a new car for Christmas. Santa said, “Guess how much I paid for my new sleigh?” The young man was stumped… “I don’t know Santa, how much did you pay?” he said. “NOTHING, it was on the house!” Santa laughed.
On Saturday Santa made one last stop at ReeceNichols Realtors Excelsior Springs where his elves had set up a series of fun events. Crafting stations, a selfie station, photo backdrops, and a gingerbread playhouse were all available for Santa’s guests, making the afternoon event all the more fun.
If you missed any of these opportunities, word has it Santa will be at Roberts Robinson Chevrolet Thursday, December 15 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. You can also catch Santa at the Excelsior Springs Golf Course on Saturday, December 17th from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, asking for donations of food for Good Samaritan Center. The course will also have a Holiday Open House from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM.
Merry Christmas, Excelsior Springs!
