Railroad Bridge Work to Temporarily Close 69 Hwy

Needed railroad bridge repairs will temporarily only Southbound lanes of traffic on 69 Highway. According to Vernon Koch, Traffic Operations Supervisor at the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT), the railroad has hired an independent contractor to manage the work zone surrounding the railroad overpasses that cross 69 Hwy near Mosby. The company is coordinating with MoDOT to schedule the date and time of the road closure. Koch said the repair work should take less than a day, and they felt the best time to close the road would be on a weekend so that it would have less of an impact on workers commuting to and from the city.

According to the MoDOT website “Crews will close all southbound lanes of US 69 Highway at Cameron Rd. (over the railroad bridge) in Mosby, MO. from 6am until noon, Saturday, October 30 for maintenance work. Motorists can use the posted detour; Take MO Route 92 west, to MO Route 33 south in Kearney, MO.”
