Primary Election Wrap-Up: Amendments and Candidates Heading to General Election

In the recent primary election, Amendment 1, which proposed a property tax exemption for childcare establishments, did not pass. On the other hand, Amendment 4 was approved, granting the legislature the authority to require cities to increase funding for police forces established by a state board without state reimbursement. This amendment currently affects the Kansas City Police Department but could have future implications for St. Louis.
