EXCELSIOR SPRINGS, Mo. – With her brown eyes, fluffy coat, and high-energy personality, Stormi Luna has quickly become one of the most eye-catching residents at the Excelsior Springs Animal Control Center. She is November’s adoptable pet of the month.
Stormi Luna is estimated to be around two and a half years old and is believed to be a “Pomsky,” a mix between a Pomeranian and a Husky. Weighing roughly 30–35 pounds, she’s a spayed female with a playful temperament and strong social skills.
She arrived at ESACC under unfortunate circumstances after the passing of her original owner, then surrendered by a family member. Stormi has adapted well to shelter life and enjoys daily interaction with staff and other animals.
Described as lively, sweet, and people-oriented, Stormi loves the company of other dogs and lights up at the chance to play.
She is house trained, and would do best in an active home where she can get plenty of exercise, mental stimulation, and affection. Shelter staff are happy to talk through compatibility with potential forever homes as part of the adoption process.
Stormi’s adoption fee is $55, which includes a heartworm test, core vaccinations (including rabies, kennel cough, and distemper), and updated vet records. Her microchip is still registered under her late owner’s name, but it can be transferred to her new family.
If you’re ready for a companion who’s equal parts cuddly and energetic, Stormi Luna may be the perfect match. To meet her, contact the Excelsior Springs Animal Control Center at 816-630-0816.
