Excelsior Springs residents are invited to participate in a health-focused community conversation hosted by the Northland Health Alliance (NHA) on Tuesday, October 1st, at Ventana Grill from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. This event is part of a larger initiative to gather public feedback on health issues across the Northland. Attendees will enjoy free food and participation incentives, with childcare available upon pre-registration.
The NHA is seeking input to help shape its updated Community Health Assessment (CHA), which will guide the group’s priorities for the next three years. Past priorities have included mental health, access to healthy food, and transportation. Feedback from the forums and a public survey will help the NHA better understand local health needs and tailor its programs accordingly.
For those unable to attend Tuesday’s event, additional forums will be held throughout the Northland in the coming weeks, including:
– Wednesday, Oct. 9 – A Turning Point, Gladstone
– Saturday, Oct. 19 – Synergy Youth Resiliency Center, KC North
– Wednesday, Oct. 23 – North Kansas City High School Auditorium (focused on children’s health)
Residents can also complete the NHA’s online survey. Available in multiple languages, the survey covers topics such as healthcare costs, drug misuse, transportation, and access to healthy resources. The survey will remain open until October 21st.
