EXCELSIOR SPRINGS, Mo. – As dusk settles over Excelsior Springs, The Elms Hotel & Spa comes alive with something a little darker than its usual local charm. Every Thursday through Sunday evening from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. until November 1st, The Tavern is transformed into a moody, immersive Halloween experience known as Nightmare on Elms Street, a new Halloween pop-up bar.

The Tavern trades its traditional elegance for haunted decor and spine-chilling ambiance. Guests are greeted with eerie lighting, macabre details, and an atmosphere best experienced after dark. Seating overlooks the Elms’ pool area and courtyard under the moonlight.

A carefully brewed menu of food and drink helps set the tone. Specialty cocktails like The Lady in White and Midnight Séance compliment the haunted theme, served alongside a frightfully delightful food selection. Tickets are required and priced at $30 per person for a 75-minute reservation, with $20 of that total credited toward food and drink purchases.

With limited seating and available times, reservations are strongly recommended. Whether you’re gathering your coven for a spooky girls’ night out or looking for a ghoulish date night, Nightmare on Elms Street offers a seasonal experience that is both theatrical and tasteful.
