Lyrics on the Lawn: Donny Altman and Friends Delight Crowd at Historic Hall of Waters

Excelsior Springs, MO – This past Friday, August 9th, the front lawn of the historic Hall of Waters was the place to be as nearly 100 community members gathered for the latest installment of the outdoor music event, Lyrics on the Lawn. Blessed with near-perfect weather—a cool and sunny summer evening—attendees enjoyed a night of live music, food, and camaraderie.

Headlining the evening was Donny Altman and his friends, whose eclectic mix of tunes resonated with the crowd, filling the air with melodies that perfectly complemented the picturesque setting. The laid-back atmosphere allowed friends, families, and music lovers alike to relax on blankets and lawn chairs, soaking in the music under the evening sky.

Adding to the experience were the mouthwatering offerings from Stevie Ray’s BBQ Food Truck, where guests could savor smoky, savory barbecue, and Nonnie’s Shaved Ice Treats, which provided a sweet and refreshing indulgence.

With just two more events remaining in this year’s series—scheduled for August 23rd and September 6th—residents are encouraged to mark their calendars and not miss out on the final performances of the season.
