Excelsior Springs, MO – Holistic Springs Herb Co., a natural wellness store in Excelsior Springs, celebrated its grand opening at a new downtown location this past weekend. The event, marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Excelsior Springs Area Chamber of Commerce, signifies a new chapter for the holistic store and its owner, Jesseka Meek.
In July of the previous year, Jesseka Meek embarked on a journey to bring holistic wellness to the forefront of the community by opening Holistic Springs Herb Co. on Jesse James Rd. The store quickly became more than a place to find natural remedies; it evolved into a community hub, offering opportunities for youth entrepreneurship, wellness education, and community gatherings.
One of the store’s standout initiatives has been the “Kids as Vendors” event, allowing young entrepreneurs to showcase their businesses. Additionally, in partnership with the Excelsior Springs Community Center, the store has hosted pop-up yoga classes, and community-focused events like the Holistic Haunt on Halloween and Polaroids with Santa during the Christmas season. Recognizing the growing interest in wellness, Jesseka dedicated Sundays to Wellness Classes, focusing on natural remedies for gut health and common ailments.
The decision to relocate to 463 S. Thompson Avenue in downtown Excelsior Springs was announced in February, with the move aimed at reaching a broader audience and enhancing the store’s community offerings. The grand opening was a testament to the community’s support, with Jesseka expressing her gratitude: “Thank you to everyone who has supported us! We are incredibly blessed to have so many support this shop!”
Looking ahead, Holistic Springs Herb Co. is set to resume the popular Kids as Vendors event on April 13th, running every other Saturday from 11 am to 2 pm in the parking lot of the Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, new yoga sessions led by Jenn Van Campen, RYT 200, will begin on April 3rd, offering bi-weekly classes every other Wednesday at 6:15 pm. These sessions are free, but space is limited to 10 participants per session, with registration available online.
Jesseka Meek and her business manager, Crystal Willis, are excited about the future of Holistic Springs Herb Co. in its new location. With a focus on community, wellness, and holistic health, the store is poised to continue making a significant impact in Excelsior Springs and beyond.
