With a voter turnout at approximately 14%, citizens headed to the polls on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 for the Municipal Election. On the ballot there were two ballot issues to consider, including the construction of a new Lewis Elementary School in the downtown and a measure to tax recreational marijuana from the City. Results below also include the City of Wood Heights, City of Crystal Lakes, and Clay County Health Board elections. Because Excelsior Springs city limits are in both Ray and Clay Counties, below are the unofficial results as reported from the Clay County Election Board and Ray County Clerk.
