Liberty, Mo. (June 6, 2025) – Excelsior Springs High School graduate Justin Wright capped off his standout high school football career by taking the field one final time as part of the Missouri squad in the 33rd Annual DM Law Kansas vs. Missouri All-Star Game on June 6, 2025, at Liberty High School.

Wright, who wore number 35 for Team Missouri, played on the defensive line in the cross-state showcase featuring top senior football talent from both sides of the state line. Known for his power and consistency in the trenches, Wright helped anchor a Missouri defense that made several key stops en route to a 25-14 victory over Kansas.

The annual contest draws scouts, coaches, and fans from across the region and has become a stepping stone for athletes preparing to take their game to the collegiate level. For Wright, the game served as a bridge between a decorated high school career and the next chapter at Baker University, where he will join the Wildcats football program this fall.

Wright was a three-year starter on both the offensive and defensive lines for the Tigers and recently signed his letter of intent to play for Baker, an NAIA school in Baldwin City, Kansas.

Baker University will gain a proven competitor in Wright. His performance in the all-star game marked a fitting conclusion to his time in Excelsior Springs black and gold—and a promising preview of what lies ahead in orange and black.

Wright takes a quick breather while the Missouri All-Star offense was on the field.
