Excelsior Springs Hospital Announces October Health and Wellness Classes

Excelsior Springs Hospital, in partnership with the Excelsior Springs Community Center, is offering a series of free health and wellness education forums throughout October. The classes are open to the public and will be held at the Senior Center during the 11:30 a.m. luncheon.

October 4: Trivia with Tina

Kick off the month with an interactive and fun “Trivia with Tina” session on October 4. Led by Tina R. Cook, Excelsior Springs Clinical/Community Education Coordinator, this engaging program will challenge participants with health and wellness-related questions, helping them learn in a lighthearted environment.

October 11: Inside the Excelsior Springs Hospital Lab

On October 11, Frank Sanchez, lab director at Excelsior Springs Hospital, will give an informative overview of the hospital’s laboratory services. Attendees will gain insight into the different areas of the lab, including chemistry, microbiology, hematology, and more, and learn how these services play a crucial role in community health.

October 14: Aging in Place – Planning for the Future

The Excelsior Springs Hospital Social Services Team will present on October 14, offering valuable advice on how to plan for aging in place. The team will share practical tips and strategies for making decisions about future healthcare needs while maintaining independence.

Registration is required for both Senior Center and non-senior lunches. Visit the Senior Center’s website to sign up. All events will be held at the Excelsior Springs Community Center. Schedule changes will be announced on the Excelsior Springs Hospital Facebook page.
