The Excelsior Springs Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at the Pho House Vietnamese Noodle Bar, located at 101 W. Broadway Avenue, on Wednesday evening, January 31, 2024. Residents living upstairs reported the incident after hearing alarms and observing smoke coming from the restaurant below.

Upon arrival, the fire crew promptly initiated an investigation into the source of the smoke. They gained entry through a back door and discovered that the cause was a pot left unattended on the cooktop. This oversight led to the smoke filling the premises.

Thankfully, the situation was quickly brought under control. The fire department cleared the smoke from the building and concluded their investigation, confirming no further risks. A disaster was quickly adverted by the quick response of the residents, and prompt action of the Excelsior Springs Fire Department averted potential damage and ensured the safety of the residents and property.
