Excelsior Springs Community Center’s Special Projects Coordinator Jesse Hall sent out an update in regard to the expansion of the Community Center’s pool and the work being done on Century Lake. He reports that two weeks ago, March 6th-10th, crews poured 42 yards of dome footings. The mechanical room had copper line installed and was put in place by Martin Mechanical. In collaboration with Volt Electric, Martin Mechanical, and Royal Construction discussed coordination of the trench drains and underground piping. Dirt is continuing to be hauled to build up the dam.
This past week the pond dam had its first third party inspection. As pond dam work continues, crews are finalizing dome footings for a final third party inspection. Trench drains are being completed and electrical piping will be installed on the deck. The plan is to open the expansion this year.
