Boys Soccer Banquet: The soccer team celebrated their season with a banquet, recognizing players’ hard work and achievements.

Middle School Basketball: The Boys and Girls teams took on Lawson Middle School in a night filled with competitive matchups.

Middle School Wrestling took on multiple schools at a Raytown South Tournament

Middle School Basketball: Both teams faced Discovery Middle School, continuing to develop their teamwork and game strategies.

High School Basketball:

  • Boys JV Game: The Tigers battled Truman at home, putting up a strong effort.
  • Varsity Boys Basketball: Despite their best efforts, the Tigers fell to Truman 36-83.

Middle School Wrestling: Wrestlers competed against multiple schools at Kearney High School.

High School Basketball:

  • Boys and Girls JV Tournament: Both teams faced Cameron at Lathrop High School. Scores not yet available.
  • Girls C Gold Game: The Lady Tigers faced Platte County at home.

Middle School Basketball: The Boys and Girls teams played Plaza Middle School in another exciting round of games.

High School Basketball:

  • Girls JV Game: The team traveled to Raytown South, score not yet available.
  • Boys JV Basketball: The Tigers fell to Raytown South 25-61.
  • Girls Varsity Basketball: The Lady Tigers fought hard against Van Horn but fell 35-46.
  • Boys Varsity Basketball: At home against Van Horn, the Tigers faced a challenging 30-79 loss but continued to show determination.

Girls Varsity Wrestling: At the Battle on the Katy Trail in Sedalia, the Lady Tigers finished 7th out of 50 teams, with standout performances including:

Boys Varsity Wrestling: The Tigers claimed the Lee’s Summit Holiday Tournament Championship with a team total of 255 points, celebrating a tremendous victory.

  • Girls Varsity Basketball: The team faced Mount Vernon at Hy-Vee Arena.
  • Girls JV Tournament: The Lady Tigers competed at Lathrop.

Wrestling:

  • Girls Varsity Tournament: Continued competition at State Fair Community College.
  • Boys Varsity Tournament: Wrestlers wrapped up the Lee’s Summit Holiday Tournament.

University of Central Missouri Wrestling shared on their Facebook Page that ESHS Alumni Damon Ashworth led the team with 14 wins, 5 pins, and won by 15+ points in 3 matches!

The Excelsior Springs High School Softball Team announced this week on their Facebook that the Missouri State High School Activities Association recognizes the Varsity Softball Team the Outstanding Scholastic Achievement Award. 

The certificate states that members of this group have achieved a combined Grade Point Average of 3.50 or above in their classroom work while actively participating in interscholastic activities. These students exemplify the excellence achieved by the young people of today and represent the hopes of our future.

Student Activities

The ESHS Jazz Band performed at the Performing Arts Center on December 10, showcasing their talents. Additionally, the Band and Choir spread holiday cheer across the district with their annual Holiday Tour, serenading audiences with festive tunes.
