The Excelsior Springs Chamber of Commerce is preparing for a night of music, money, and mayhem at their annual fundraising event on Wednesday, Mar 16, 2022. The Chamber, celebrating its 95th anniversary, looks to invigorate the membership with food and festivities sure to please all. Highlighting the evening’s events will be musical act, Athens Creek, an “Americana roots band” out of Southeast Michigan. According to their website, “Athens Creek has been defined as an excellent blend of Modern and Classic and the perfect listening band for all ages.” The group is headlined by musicians Taylor Haring and Nate Jones who are the driving force behind the band and its success. Haring is a “classically trained, powerhouse vocalist with a love for country with, Underwood and Lovato-esque vocal runs.” Attendees may recognize Haring from her appearances on seasons 13 and 14 of American Idol. Jones brings “Johnny Cash lows, ‘Silver-Bullet’ grit, and Rock-N-Roll attitude,” to balance out the duo.

Revelers will fill their bellies with delicious food from the renowned catering company, Nadler’s based in Wellington, MO. A cash bar will be available at the event and bottles of wine from local venues as well as craft beer growlers from Dubious Claims are available for preorder for those registering ahead of the event. Attendees will also have the opportunity to fill their pocketbooks, with the reverse raffle contest which makes a return this year. Each $75 gala ticket grants the bearer a chance to win one of several cash prizes drawn throughout the night. The raffle works by eliminating entries throughout the night until the $3000 grand prize is awarded to one lucky individual. With over $5000 in prize money awarded in total, guests can expect to have a great time at this high-energy affair.
