Body Found in Mosby Woods Confirmed to be Missing Teen Andrew Mullin

The Clay County Sheriff’s Department has confirmed that the body found in a wooded area in Mosby on Thursday, December 21 is that of 18-year-old Andrew Mullin. The tragic discovery marks a sad conclusion to the case of Mullin, who had been reported missing since November 27, 2023.

In a statement to the press, officials reported that a resident found Mullin’s body in a heavily wooded part of Mosby. Preliminary investigations by the Sheriff’s Department suggest the cause of death to be an apparent suicide. The department expressed its condolences to the family and friends of Andrew Mullin, acknowledging the profound impact of this tragedy on the community.

Andrew’s obituary at Bross & Spidle states, “Andrew was born on March 23, 2005, in Liberty, MO. He was a kind, gentle soul. He loved his family and friends. He enjoyed the outdoors, mushroom hunting with his papa, paintballing with his brother, and bonfires with his friends.”

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, December 28, 2023, at Crown Hill Cemetery, Excelsior Springs, MO.
