May 9th, 2023, Captain Jon Bazzano, the Patrol Division Commander for the Clay County Sheriff’s Department, provided an update regarding the recent transfer of Timothy Haslett Jr. from the Clay County Detention Center to the Johnson County, MO Detention Center. According to Captain Bazzano, the transfer was a temporary measure due to upgrades to the locking and control systems at the Clay County facility.
