12 Upcoming Christmas Events in Excelsior Springs

With another successful Christmas Kickoff to the holiday season here in Excelsior Springs, there will be a number of holiday events in the coming weeks, too! Of those that are already announced, we have put together in a list for you. If you are aware of an event that is not listed, please send it to us or put in the comments of the story. Many thanks to the Excelsior Springs Christmas Committee for their year-long help in putting together a spectacular kickoff for us each year!

Teacher Holly Days Bazaar – Tues, Nov 22 – 3-6pm

New this year, the Excelsior Springs School District (ESSD) is hosting a Holiday Market, with over 50 vendor booths in the high school commons. This event is really for the staff members of the district, giving them early access starting at Noon. The public, or friends and family, will then be allowed access from 3pm-6pm.

ESHS Student Council Reindeer Run – Fri, Dec 2 – 5:30pm

ESHS Student Council is holding a 1 mile run/walk through the Lane of Lights on Friday, December 2nd at 6:00pm. The event will end at Piburn Park, where we will celebrate the holidays with hot chocolate, candy canes, decorations, and music! Cost of the event is $25 with a long sleeve shirt or $10 with no shirt. We hope to see you there!!! Registration ends November 10th if you want a long sleeve tshirt!

Holiday Homes Tour – Sat, Dec 3 – 12-6pm

Tickets go on sale November 1st for the 2022 Holiday Homes Tour! Enjoy visiting 5 resident’s homes that are graciously opened and enjoy their stunningly decorated abodes. The joy and magic of the season is truly brought to life!

Tickets are $15 in advance and will be available for purchase online through the www.VisitExcelsior.com website. Additional tickets will be available in person at the Hall of Waters from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Saturday, December 3rd for $20 per person until sell out.

Fuzzy Mutton Farm’s Winter Wonderland – Dec 3 at 10am-Dec 4 at 7pm

Fuzzy Mutton Farms’ Winter Wonderland returns in Excelsior Springs, MO. This outdoor event features arts and crafts vendors, food trucks, bounce house for kids, visit with Santa, outdoor games, feeding the animals and a family photo delivered to your email. Stay a while with a cup of hot chocolate from the hot cocoa bar and roast marshmallows over one of the open fires and enjoy a Christmas movie on the outdoor movie screen after dark.

Tickets can be purchased per carload. Ticket prices include unlimited bounce house jumping, feed for the sheep, and a family photo delivered digitally, outdoor games, roasting marshmallows, and the nightly outdoor Christmas movie. The farm will remain open to visitors until 7pm.

A Miracle on Regent Street – Wed, Dec 7 – 6-8pm

Come enjoy ‘A Miracle on Regent Street’ with FREE Santa pictures, Magic Reindeer Food and a trip through the Lane of Lights on Santa’s Sleigh on Wednesday, December 7th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM!

This event is made possible through a partnership between the Downtown Excelsior Partnership, Inc., The Elms Hotel & Spa and the Excelsior Springs Area Chamber of Commerce!

Winter Wonderland Cookie Class – Wed, Dec 7 – 5-6:30pm

Social Sugar Cookie Decorating Class $45
This class is for a fun night out or the person who is curious what cookie decorating is all about! No experience is necessary for my cookie class- it is beginner friendly. If you have limited experiences with sugar cookies or if you’re looking for a fun night out with family or friends, this class is for you! We will be doing a fun fall theme set that tastes amazing and will look even better once you’ve completed your decorating!

They provide everything you need from cookies, icing, sprinkles, and a box to take your awesome creations home in – They just need YOU!

This winter wonderland theme class will be held Wednesday, Dec. 7, 5:00pm-6:30pm. The class will be held at Willow Springs Mercantile located at 249 E. Broadway, Excelsior Springs, MO. Parking is free and easy! There will be plenty of time to decorate and ask questions along the way. It’ll be a blast whether you’re coming with a friend, family member, or solo!

Santa is Coming to Re/Max – Fri, Dec 9 – 5-8pm

Free photos with Santa Claus and Buddy the Elf at Re/Max in Excelsior Springs on Friday, December 9th from 5-8pm at 1350 N Jesse James Rd.

Santa Claus is Coming to ReeceNichols – Sat, Dec 10 – 2-6pm

Join the ReeceNichols Realtors for a chance to get pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus! They will also be doing a food drive, so please consider bringing food for local pantries!

Cocktails & Candy Canes – Sat Dec 10, 10am-3pm

Join us in Downtown Excelsior Springs on Saturday, December 10 for Cocktails and Candy Canes! This fun new twist on the Taste of Christmas will help you gather inspiration for your own holiday spread and drinks while wrapping up your last minute Christmas shopping or having a great time for a “Friendmas”!

Kids – have your pictures taken with Santa at Roberts Robinson Chevrolet Buick GMC! They will be collecting donations of new toys & gift cards for The Good Samaritan Center. 810 Zone will be providing refreshments & raffle prizes.

Holiday Sip and Shop – Sat, Dec 17 – 2-5pm
